In 9th grade, a friend called me "childish" during a group conversation, and it really upset me. We were joking around, and I was being playful, just trying to have some fun. But out of nowhere, they said, "Wow, you're acting so childish right now." It felt like they were trying to put me down for just being myself. I didn't think I was acting immature, but their words made me question how I was behaving. I was really hurt because it felt like they didn't understand that I was just trying to enjoy the moment.
