In 9th grade, my English teacher said something that really stuck with me. One day, after I turned in an essay, she pulled me aside and told me, "You have a way of expressing your thoughts that's unique, but sometimes you hold back. Don't be afraid to let your voice come through more." At first, I didn't really understand what she meant. But over time, I started paying attention to how I wrote and talked. After that, I became more confident in sharing my thoughts, whether it was in writing or during class discussions.
