An adventure I would like to go on is sky diving. Sky diving does look scary but also looks exhilarating. I like to feel the same excitement I feel when getting on a roller coaster. Before getting on a roller coaster, I always feel very anxious and don't want to get on it anymore but once I go on it, I want to do it all over again.

I liked the poem but it was not my favorite. I like the meaning behind the poem.

Describe something you will never fully understand.

Prompt Response:

Something I will never fully understand is the Bermuda Triangle. Many planes and ships have disappeared in the triangle but have never been found to this day. Some people hypothesize that a parallel universe exists in the Bermuda Triangle region, causing a time/space warp that sucks the objects around it into a parallel universe. About 20 planes have disappeared in the triangle with many people on them disappearing as well. Also more than 50 ships have vanished in the triangle as well.

I really like the poem. It is really sentimental to me since I always dream about going back in time to be a child again.

I wish I had more time. That is a wish I had because I would have more time out of the day to do stuff. When I get home from school, I only have 3 hours to do whatever I want, then I have to go to soccer practice. Sometimes as soon as I get home from school, I have to go straight to soccer practice. After I get home from soccer practice, I only have a few hours more to do whatever I want until night comes and I have to go to bed because I have school. This process is repeated every day. I wish I had more time because I would be more productive.

Reflection:

I think that my presentation was pretty good. I think that the examples correlated good with the topics we were given.

Describe a moment of unexpected kindness.

Prompt Response: 

A moment of unexpected kindness was when I was in the store and a homeless person was trying to buy food but didn't have enough money. The lady in front of me did a very kind gesture and paid for his food. I found this moment to be very heart warming. Many people these days are often rude and lack empathy. I love to help people and seeing other people help others. Being kind takes just a few minutes out of your day to do and many people should be more kind.

I liked this poem more than yesterdays because I love the meaning behinid it. It tells us that we should cherish the beautiful things in life because they don't last.

Write about a feeling that took you by surprise.

Prompt Response:

One feeling that took me by surprise was the excitement of scoring 5 goals this past weekend coming back from a knee injury. I hurt my knee on October 6th. My knee injury caused me to miss a whole month of playing soccer. I tried to play in a game earlier than I should have and hurt it again. Once my knee finally got better, I went into the game in which we were only up by 1 goal. I didn't go into the field until the second half and got 2 goals. The next day I had another game in which we were 0-0 in the first half. When the second half began, I scored 3 goals. The game ended 3-0. Being able to play again after being out for a month made me feel a sense of relief and extreme happiness.

The poem had a really deep meaning behind it. It shows us how danger is all around us.

Describe a time when you felt completely lost

Prompt Response:

A time I felt completely lost was in 2021. The whole year I felt alone and lost. I had no one to turn to whenever I felt upset. I'm the only girl out of two older brothers and they were never home, they were always out with their girlfriends. My cousins and I weren't as close as we are now. It got to the point where we would have big arguments and go weeks, maybe months, without talking. During that whole time I felt lost and did not know what to do whenever I needed to talk to someone.

Today in class I was absent.

Reflection: 

I should be going to school every day. Going to school is essential to having good grades.

Today in class we did a Newsela. I think the text we read was very informative. It gave us many examples of what to do with our shoes rather than throw them out. My favorite reasoning to do with shoes rather than to throw them out was donating them. I love this because there are many families who cant afford shoes. 

Today I feel sleepy.
