Today in class we did discussion questions based on the narrative we've been reading. I really liked the story because it was very interesting. The questions were sort of easy to do but some were difficult.

Today in class we worked on our circle mural. I think my mural was really good. I also really liked the story because it was very interesting.

Today in class we started of by continuing the paragraph we were working on last week Friday. I think my paragraph was pretty good. After we finished the paragraph, we were assigned a role in a group of 3 or 4 people.

Today in class we played a quick game of kahoot. It was a really fun and interesting topic we used for our kahoot. After we're we're finished playing kahoot we wrote a quick paragraph about a passage assigned to us.

Today we only had a 30-minute class period. Since our class was cut shirt all we did was work on the assignment from yesterday. I liked the assignment because it made me look more into the passage instead of just reading it and ignoring it later. I learned a lot of new things from this passage.

Today in class, we started by briefly reviewing a PowerPoint. The PowerPoint showed us how we always need to explain a piece of evidence for it to be useful. After we finished the PowerPoint, we read a passage about Christopher Columbus and did a worksheet. In the worksheet, we had to find evidence about the claim given to us and then explain how the evidence went with the claim. This assignment was useful because it helped us improve our argumentative skills.

Over the break, I mostly stayed in my room. I recently started my own small business, so I worked on making all my orders. It takes a long time to complete an order, so I could only complete two. Other than working on orders I also took my dog to walk around Stone Mountain. It was a 5-mile walk, and he was able to get through all of it.

Today in class we had a fire drill at the beginning of class. When we returned, we worked as a class reading a passage from Newsela. While we were reading, we also answered some questions. The passage was fascinating and made very good points. 

Today I feel happy because we are going on fall break!

Today in class we did a worksheet. The worksheet was about claims. We had to figure out the claim of the passage, then find the type of claim it was, and then we had to come up with an opposition for the claims

Today in class we took notes. We took notes on evidence. Mr. Rease showed us the 3 main categories of evidence which are experience, observations, and readings. After we took notes we did a worksheet practicing using these 3 mains categories.

Today in class we continued working on the worksheet from yesterday. We had to make a claim for and against the topic we got. I think that it was a good assignment because it helped us see both point of views and have a reasoning behind it.
