Today in class we took notes. Our notes went over claims. I think that the lesson was amazing because it helps us improve our argumentative essay skills. It was very interesting to see how a claim can greatly improve our essays

Today in class we took notes. We reviewed Logos, Pathos, and Ethos. I think it was a good refresher for all us. After we finished taking notes we did an assignment and I think I could've done better but I will do better on the next assignment

Today in class we had a sub. She gave us instructions, which Mr. Rease left us. He told us to go to Newsela and complete the assignment he left us. The essay was very interesting and informative.

Today in class we gave one of our classmates feedback on the essay we have been working on. I like that we did this because it helps you see your essay from another person's perspective. It helps us change anything that needs to be improved on

Today in class we typed up our final essay. I think I did good on my essay but there could have been certain things I could improve on. I liked the topic I chose because I was able to speak from my heart and knew everything I wanted to accomplish by the end of the year.

Today in class we took notes on when to use informal and formal language. Mr. Rease also showed us what each sentence consists of. He showed us examples of what a sentence looks like in a formal and informal way. After we were done taking notes we revised and edited our body paragraphs, which we worked on yesterday. I did good on editing my paragraphs and I made my paragraphs way better.

Today in class we took notes. Mr. Rease showed us a presentation about the writing process and every step in the process. He then showed us the cluster method when brainstorming. I think that the method is very useful and helps your organize your thoughts well. He gave us an example on how it should be done and I think that it was a great example.

Today in class we continued working on analyzing Emily Dickinson's quotes. Her quotes were very interesting and unique. I thought that all of her quotes were amazing and all had a true mean behind it but everyone can interpret it differently.

Today in class we read another poem by Emily Dickinson. The poem was titled, "I Felt A Funeral, in my brain". The poem was different. It had an eerie town to it. It is very interesting to hear how Dickinson can make many different types of poems. They always have different meaning as well.

Today in class we read a poem. It was titled "Success is counted Sweetest" by Emily Dickinson. The poem showed us how we had to fail first in order to be successful. We annotated the poem with notes. Mr. Rease explained to us that many people failed before they succeeded in life/career.
